We all make New Year’s resolutions, but how many of us stick with them and see them through to the end? Most of us give up halfway (or sooner) and go back to our previous habits. However, these people proved nothing is impossible if you have the will and give the effort to change yourself.
In 2016, Lexi Reed and her husband Danny from Haute, Indiana, weighed 485 lbs and 280 lbs respectively.
Both smashed their New Years Resolution by losing almost 400lbs (28 stone) together!
“We didn’t have a meal plan, surgery, personal trainer, but what we did have was each other and the motivation within to work hard every single day,’ she wrote on Instagram. “We wanted to be parents in the future and live a long life together.”
The couple wed in 2015 and used to eat around 8000 calories per day. They decided to give up on junk food and relied on home cooked meals. They also started to hit the gym five to six times per week.
The transformation was amazing! In 12 months, Lexi and Danny lost around half of their body weight. Their inspiring weight-loss journey amassed over 514k+ followers on Instagram!
Many have been inspired by their hard work and determination.
